I will introduce you to how to make Japanese-style snacks using the “The Laws of Delicious Carbohydrates” that I posted before.
There is only one seasoning you need.
That is “Tsu-yu” which can be purchased at oriental food shops. There are many types of this, but it is the seasoning shown in the photo below. Any brand is OK
“Tsu-yu” is simply a liquid seasoning in which soy sauce and umami seasonings are mixed in an exquisite ratio. The flavor of soy sauce that is fragrant in Japanese cuisine, the saltiness contained in soy sauce, and the umami components are all in one bottle.
So if you follow the “The Laws of Delicious Carbohydrates”, all you need is carbohydrates and oil to make a snack.
An example is this “Butter soy sauce pasta“.
Put plenty of butter and a little Tsu-yu in a frying pan, bring it to a boil to make a sauce. Add boiled pasta, stir, and it’s done. Tsu-yu comes in various thicknesses, so start with a small amount the first time. This time I sprinkled dried parsley on it.
Substitute fried potatoes for the pasta and you have butter soy potatoes.
Give it a try.
