Hello. I’m O-kan-ban. I’m the host of this blog.
For this first commemorative issue, I would like to introduce Nihon Seishu Co., also known as Chitosetsuru, the only sake brewery in Sapporo, where I live, and of course my favorite brewery.
The brewery brews many kinds of sake, offering a wide range of aromas and flavors. As of May 31, 2024, there are over 40 types of sake listed on the website, including limited edition sake.
I don’t think there are many sake breweries in Japan that produce such a wide variety of sake.
I haven’t tried all the varieties, but I was amazed at the variety of aromas and flavors. You’re sure to find one that suits you.
If you visit Sapporo and have the opportunity to dine out, try Chitosetsuru as your meal companion. It is served in many restaurants and izakayas.
Or,If you want to have Japanese food but haven’t decided on a restaurant yet, the best place to dine would be the brewery’s own restaurants.
Please refer to this link for the next three places I will introduce.
“Chitosetsuru” and “Kiccho” . They offer a wide variety of sake ,and dishes go well with sake perfectly. Don’t forget to make a reservation.
If you’re looking for a second stop, I recommend the standing bar “Tsuru no Kura.” It’s a friendly and comfortable space. We hope you’ll enjoy some good drinks and fun conversation with the Hokkaido native standing next to you.
